This is just the beginning : An attack and counter attack in the wee hours of Sunday over Biafra, between a dozen Nigerian students created a ruckus in Hennur, as they allegedly attacked the residence of one Elvis Ohachosim, a 39-year-old fellow Nigerian, and set his car ablaze. Times of India reports that DCP North East, Girish, said the counter attack was in retaliation to Elvis attacking two Nigerian friends on Saturday evening; an attack that has left Bengaluru Police now mulling over getting these Nigerians who came to India on business and student visas deported. Girish further said this was not the first time the Nigerians fought over Biafra issue, as Bengaluru police had filed four cases against two Nigerian groups since September 3. OMG!! Man Beats 3-Year-Old Step-daughter To Death In Katsina

By Benjamin odunayo ddle-aged man, Akilu Alhaji Saidu, has allegedly beaten to death his three-year-old step-daughter, Saratu Yahuza. Saidu has since been arrested and detained by the Katsina State Police Command. The incident occurred when Saidu was said to have dragged her into an uncompleted building in Yankara village of Faskari Local Government, where he allegedly beat, twisted and broke her neck. The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development, said one Yahuza Yakubu, purported to be the biological father of the girl, reported the case at the Police Station in Faskari. Isah said the suspect had since confessed to the crime and during investigation, told the Police investigators that he acted under the influence of psychotropic substances. Isah said the deceased was rushed to Funtua General Hospital, where a doctor confirmed her dead.

The materials, valued at N250,000 included foams, foodstuffs and other items were donated by the graduate of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, with state code number OY/16B/0957 . When asked what motivated her, she said;     “the will to touch lives positively has been my motivation. “Even though I was faced with financial challenges while executing the project.” Mrs Aishat Mohammed, Assistant Director, CDS, who led the team to the venue, described the project as a “laudable one” that should be emulated by other corp members. The matron of the home, Mrs Adisa Modupe, thanked the corp member for her gesture and wished her success in her future endeavour.

By Benjamin odunayo Days after admitting challenges in investigation and prosecution of some Boko Haram suspects in custody, the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice has revealed that the Federal Government was set to commence the prosecution of over 1,600 Boko Haram suspects in October. This information was revealed in a statement issued Sunday by Salihu Othman Isah, media aide to the AGF. Isah disclosed that Malami had approved a list of prosecutors to handle the cases while the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria had also released a list counsels who would defend the suspects. Also, he revealed that four judges had been appointed by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to sit on the cases at Kainji and handle them “expeditiously”. According to him, the prosecution “will start with the detainees in Kainji followed closely by the disposal of the cases of the detainees in Giwa Barracks, Maiduguri until the cases are exhausted. Five SARS Operatives Found Guilty Of Murdering Two Young Graduates NAIJA NEWS by   benjamin odunayo 10 Five operatives of SARS have been found guilty by a High Court for the killing of two young undergraduates in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, has found a five-man patrol team of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, also known as SARS, guilty of extrajudicial killing of two friends. The SARS operatives were led by one Samuel Chigbu while the victims of extrajudicial killing were Michael Akor and Michael Igwe in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the State. Michael Akor (28) and his friend, Michael Igwe, were said to have been arrested while going about their businesses on June 22, 2009 by the security agents, who eventually killed them in a bush in Oyigbo the next day. Apart from finding the SARS operatives guilty, the court ordered the Nigeria Police to pay a N50 million compensation to the families of
